When the Faerie Queen banishes her for a hundred years, a headstrong faerie trapped in the body of a quirky seven-year-old must save her homeland while navigating first grade.

Arizona Actors Academy and Theatre Upstairs is proud to present a new regular series presented live and in person and directly to you in your home. Our Friday Night Readings series is devoted to supporting up and coming writers and the development of new works! Presented both in studio and through our Sandra Seacat Virtual Theatre we will read original works from playwrights and screenwriters across the country bringing some of the most timely, important, entertaining and compelling new works to audiences. These readings are informal and stripped down. Enjoy the latest theater and film in its early stage of development. Many of these will be live streamed and may feature a mediated talk back or an invitation to provide audience feedback to the author.

Aubrie’s first full-length play, Axioms, has been selected for staged readings at Matthew Corozine Studio Theatre (NYC), the Neurodivergent New Play Series (NYC), Arizona Actors Academy, and CalTech’s MACH 33: Festival of New Science-Driven Plays (LA). A monologue from the play will be published in December 2024 as part of Smith & Kraus’s “Best Women’s Stage Monologues 2024”. She is also a member of the 2025 cohort of New West Playwrights, Ensemble Studio Theatre/LA’s program for playwrights under 30.

Friday Night Readings is a live streamed event combining actors and writers from everywhere for table reads. Allowing for collaborations in the work and opportunity within the writers journey from page to stage.
Our hope is to create opportunities for artist’s everywhere to have resources to connect and collaborate, grow and learn, especially continue to feed the artist within. The current time has opened us up to pathways of networking that surpass our limitations to create in ways we never imagined. We strive to amuse, distract and affect our audience in ways that inspire innovation in our art. We invite and welcome artists everywhere to contribute their unique voice to our mission.
