Outreach Programs –
- Scholarships for Financial Hardship
- Many students come upon our studio seeking to hone their craft and can not afford ongoing training. We try to help by offering work study opportunities and payment plans, as a small business still in recovery, we rarely have funds to offer discounts on classes. If you wish to help young artists find a place to grow and train, feel free to specify your donation to our Scholarship program.
- Theatre Upstairs Productions
- We like to offer our students production & performance experience so that they can go on to be capable leaders in these environments. The mission of the collaboration between Arizona Actors Academy and our non-profit Theatre Upstairs is to create affordable and free local entertainment & theatre, providing a space for artists to take risks and share their unique voice. Donations to this project would help us keep these opportunities available, support more, and maintain free & affordable entertainment to the local community.

AZAA has been in our new home at McDowell & 48th St for two years now!
Arizona Actors Academy fought hard through the pandemic and related economic crisis to assure no interruptions to the work you relied on us for. We’ve lost count of how many times we’ve pivoted but with each one we’ve become stronger and better. We’ve found new allies, expanded our programming and stayed dedicated to our mission. Through it all, we’ve remained diligent, keeping our classes and community safe and healthy. Please consider making a tax deductible contribution to our 501c3 Theater Upstairs that will go directly toward creating a home for local actors and artists!
Projects that lie ahead:
Pursue larger space for more dynamic theater environment – approx. $10,000.00
Build out a stage, Lighting Rigs – approx. $3000.00
Furnish reception area as actor retreat – approx. $2500.00
Furnish library with modular seating for reading and studying – approx. $1500.00
Update locks with keypad system for rehearsal membership – $1500.00
Replace carpeted floors with plank in our working area – approx. $8000.00
