AZAA Improv Mechanics Registration

Welcome to Improv Mechanics! This class is our premiere Improv program that meets you at your level. If you're a current student advancing your tool kit, congrats! If you're new to AZAA you've found a home to reconnect with your passion and improve your skills.

Please let us know if you can’t make it for any reason to reschedule. Fee is waived for current students moving from another program by using your student resources to schedule. Auditing spots are limited to the first two weeks of each open enrollment period.

New Student for any new full enrollment, auditors now choosing to join the course should also select “New Student”.

Re-Enroll or Advancing for previous AZAA students moving into or took a temporary withdrawal from this class and are re-enrolling.

Auditors choosing to enroll in classes will enroll as a NEW STUDENT. Audits are only open the first two Mondays of each open enrollment.
Class is for adults, 18 and over.
Most of our communications are through email, please give us your best contact.
If the date you want is unavailable to select, the class is full, please move onto the next available date.

Modular Classes at AZAA


All of our enrollment is ongoing and automatic, therefore once you are enrolled there are no credits or refunds for missed classes.
If you select next month, we will enroll you to start at full tuition when the monthly enrollment resets, this can vary depending on class breaks or holidays. This is also subject to availability and could lead to our wait list.

If you select next available class we will email you directly to confirm your start date. Please do not come to class until you receive a date confirmation.

There are no limitations on who can be an actor, in fact, more representation is in demand. Each individual is unique. This question is focused on inclusivity so your Coach can fully maximize your training experience to suit your unique needs. Terms and Conditions Of Modular Program

You are enrolling into our ongoing Modular Improv class.

Your enrollment will carry over automatically each month of your Module duration. You will be automatically withdrawn after your three month commitment unless you re-enroll to continue your training. Improv Mechanics is a series of three modules and ongoing training leads to advanced skillsets for High Performance Improv. You can withdraw at anytime keeping our 30-day notice in mind. 

  • Full tuition payment is required to register.
  • Your tuition payment will be charged automatically every month on the 1st through your current three month module. 
    • Use a debit/credit card account for automatic payments to make your class payment. 
  • You can still withdraw or make changes anytime before the 25th to stop payment.
  • Withdrawals within a 30 day notice will be a 50% tuition penalty of payment.
  • Students will automatically be withdrawn after the three month duration unless they choose to re-enroll through our student change form.
  • Modules are designed to be ongoing.
  • Any tuition credits from audit/penalty or otherwise will be credited to your first automatic tuition charge or second month's balance due.
  • Students can pursue consideration for enrollment pauses via the Student Enrollment Change form on our website.

As a participant in any program or class at Arizona Actors Academy/Theatre Upstairs (Hotchner Studios LLC), understand and agree that in participating in any acting/voice/movement class, workshop, rehearsal or performance, there is a possibility of physical injury or death. I recognize and acknowledge there are certain risks of physical injury, and I agree to assume the full risk of injuries, including death, damages or loss that I or my minor child may sustain as a result of participating in any activities connected with or associated with such program or class. I agree to waive and relinquish all claims I or my minor child may have as a result of participating in any program or class against Arizona Actors Academy/Theatre Upstairs. (Hotchner Studios LLC) and its officers, agents, servants, employees and independent contractors. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless and defend Arizona Actors Academy/Theatre Upstairs (Hotchner Studios LLC) and it's officers, agents, servants, employees an independent contractors from my claims resulting from injuries including death, damages and losses sustained by me or my minor child that arise out of, in connection with, or in any way associated with the activities of this program.

Optional Waiver:
I understand that Arizona Actors Academy/Theatre Upstairs (Hotchner Sudios LLC) is a non-profit organization that promotes acting as an art form not only to it's students, but also to the community at large. As such, articles, brochures, videos and websites may be used either promotionally or educationally and may include images of Arizona Actors Academy/Theatre Upstairs (Hotchner Studios LLC) students or other participants in our programs. I hereby permit the use of my image to be photographed, videotaped or otherwise recorded for the use in Arizona Actors Academy/Theatre Upstairs (Hotchner Studios LLC) publicity or educational materials. These materials include, but are not limited to, photographs of classes and performances, newsletters, various other school publications, Arizona Actors Academy/Theatre Upstairs (Hotchner Studios LLC) internet webpage and video of class/performances.

CLASS ETIQUETTE AND ETHICS:
• Cell phones should be turned off or switched to silence when entering the classroom. Please save any calls or texting for breaks. If you have a special situation such as a sick relative or work crisis and need to check your phone, let your instructor know before class starts.
• Absolutely no picture taking during class without express permission and a photo release.
• What goes on in class stays in class. To take creative risks, actors must feel safe. Respect the actors working and their privacy.
• No eating while actors are working.
• Be respectful and quiet while other actors are working. One of the best ways to learn is from watching others!

INVOICING & PAYMENT Your commitment fee of $25.00 will be charged for you upon submission using the information provided.

ENROLLMENT To join our classes following your audit, you will need to return to our registration page and officially enroll as a "New Student".

REFUNDS Your audit fee is non-refundable. Audits can be rescheduled if you reach out via your confirmation emails. Your fee can be credited toward your first month's tuition, should you choose to enroll.

INCLEMENT WEATHER OR INSTRUCTOR EMERGENCY In the event of inclement weather or emergency, we will send email notifications if classes are cancelled. Any cancelled classes will be offered a make-up class with ample time to adjust your schedule. If you are unable to attend a make-up class, AZAA cannot refund the original class. Please make every effort to attend the make-up class.

Enrollment Changes

Forms for students already enrolled in Meisner wishing to make payment extension requests, continue or cancel enrollment. All change requests should be made before the 25th of the month and a withdrawal outside of your commitment requires a 30 day notice.
